GlassGPT privacy

Privacy, clearly stated.

GlassGPT is local-first, but the messages and files you choose to send can be processed by external AI providers.

Data flow

What GlassGPT can send.

Only the content needed to complete the request you initiated.

Content you submit

  • Messages The text you type, plus the model and response settings tied to that request.
  • Attachments Images, documents, and other files only when you explicitly attach them to a chat.
  • Voice Audio only when you record and send it as part of a request.
  • Recovery data Response identifiers and related metadata may be used to resume or recover in-progress replies.
Who may receive it
  • OpenAI processes requests needed to generate responses.
  • Cloudflare only sits in the route when Gateway mode is enabled.
What stays local
  • Your API key is stored in Keychain.
  • Conversation history, settings, and cached files are kept on device unless you send them.
Control

What you control.

Privacy choices stay visible instead of getting buried in setup.

In the app

  • Consent Before first use, GlassGPT should clearly explain AI data sharing and require consent.
  • Gateway Cloudflare Gateway is optional and can be disabled at any time in Settings.
  • History You can clear conversations, remove keys, and change routing settings from the app.
  • Files Generated files are cached locally to keep links usable later, and can be cleared from Settings.
Short version

GlassGPT is built to keep the working state local, while making third-party processing explicit when you actually use AI features.
